Who's teaching the course?

Alan Cooperman has been writing about religion for decades, first as a journalist and now as the director of religion research at Pew Research Center, a nonpartisan, nonadvocacy fact tank. He and his team have distilled a large body of research on Muslims and Islam into four short email lessons, delivered every other day. Upon completing the course, readers will have the opportunity to take a quiz to see what they've learned.

What's on the syllabus?
  • Lesson 1: How many Muslims are there in the world, and where do they live?
  • Lesson 2: What do Muslims around the world believe?
  • Lesson 3: Who are U.S. Muslims and what do they believe?
  • Lesson 4: How are Muslims viewed in the West?
Pew Research Center is a nonpartisan fact tank. As a neutral source of data and analysis, it does not take policy positions.
